Hey Everyone!
This week has been super great. We had some rough lessons this past week, but we have learned a ton, and have been blessed a lot because of them. This last week we found a couple new people to teach, and they were really eager to meet with us which was weird. We are always excited for more people to teach so we met with them as soon as possible. One of the guys is a religious professor here, and the other is really big into the Evangelical church. Haha so the whole time, we were there, they felt like they had to convince us our religion is wrong. So we bore our testimonies and really challenged them to pray and find out for themselves to know if our church is true. But because of it, we have been motivated to speak in Spanish 100% and it has really been helping me with the language.
But have also had some great lessons. We found another guy named "Antonio" who is super prepared. There are people who are so prepared I feel like we just help them teach themselves. Antonio used to live with a member family for a while, and so he knows a little bit about us and always has a ton of questions. When we were teaching about the Restoration, he really liked the idea that we have modern prophets today to lead us. He asked us who the prophet is today, and later went and looked President Monson up to learn more. He is really cool and we are excited to keep meeting with him.
We have been meeting with our other investigators, Lina, José, Miguel, Manuel, and anyone else we can. Manuel told us this last week that he wants to be a missionary and we told him that because he is married, he can go with his wife if she is converted. So now he wants to find a way to get his wife to come and listen to us. Haha and Sunday he bore his testimony! Before the meeting started, the Branch President told us we were going to have a testimony meeting and encouraged Manuel to bare his testimony. So Manuel went up, and for 15 minutes, read from D+C 89 and taught us about the word of wisdom! Haha we will have to teach him more of what a testimony is, but has the word of wisdom down! We are excited for him and his family.
Something I learned this week, is that sometimes we have to "continue with confidence, until the Lord will show us the way." Because really, this is an act of faith. Faith that we know the Lord will take care of us, and our needs, and faith that, with him we can do all things that are right. I am learning to rely on the Lord for everything, and It has been a huge blessing.
I hope you all have a great week!
Con Cariño
